I am a firm believer of serendipity. What is serendipity, you ask? Well, the dictionary definition is “an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident”. In my eyes, serendipity is something we all have; yet we just don’t realize it until the moment arises. I don’t believe we stumble upon it, or it bites us in the buttocks. I believe serendipity is something that is waiting to be found, and when we do find it; it changes us. Whether it is an object that you’ve been longing to find, or someone you ran into on the sidewalk, or a childhood memory that brought you back to a desired place, or love that you never thought was there. Life is all about figuring out who we are, and what we want to do with the time we have here; and I believe serendipity guides us to do just that. To randomly come into our lives and show us direction; give us spurs of happiness when we need it most and when we least expect it. I was just thinking a little bit of my life today, and all the little “serendipity moments” I have had lately. As cliché as it is; expect the unexpected.
